Sebastian Cajas, an AI scientist at the National Irish Center of Applied AI (CeADAR) and a Fellow in Computer Science at Harvard, focuses his research on generative modeling, working extensively with vast amounts of data and High-Performance Computers (HPC's). His work spans various domains including cancer research, Public Health, Sensing data and more recently, Machine Learning at the Edge. Since 2020, Sebastian has also served as the NASA SpaceApps Lead and mentor in Popayan (Colombia) and has been actively collaborating at Leo Celi's LCP Lab at the Massachussets Institute of Technolology (MIT) as an open-source collaborator on multiple projects. Holding a B.S. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and a Joint Master's degree in Image Processing and Computer Vision (2020-2022), he brings a multidisciplinary approach to his research and leadership roles. In 2020, Sebastian assumed the presidency of the Aerospace & Electronics Systems Society (AESS Colombia) and served as a mentor in the MIT Critical Data Datathons from 2022 to 2023.
